Keynote Speaker: Marisa Wulff, Co-CEO Mud Bay Pet Stores

Marisa Wulff is Co-CEO of Mud Bay, a chain of natural pet food stores in Washington and Oregon. She grew up in Olympia, Washington and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Art History from the University of Washington and a Master’s Degree from European University in the Netherlands. In 1993, while working as an Investment Officer for the Washington State Investment Board, Marisa began moonlighting at Mud Bay’s original store on Mud Bay road, writing staff schedules, unpacking freight and keeping books. In the years since, she has worked in, and on, most aspects for Mud Bay from distribution to business processes. During the last five years, she has focused on business strategy, leadership development, site selection, lease negotiation and visual merchandising. Marisa is fascinated with locating and building retail stores that are convenient and appealing to customers, efficient for staff and uniquely Mud Bay. She enjoys hiking,    cycling, skiing and rock climbing, as well as anything that requires power tools.
