Steve Fredlund Bio
Steve Fredlund is a life-long resident of rural Minnesota who spent 30 years bringing clarity and innovative solutions to large corporations (Allianz, Medtronic, Thrivent, 3M) in functions such as actuarial, capital markets hedging, and workforce analytics. Steve has an MBA and a degree in mathematics; he is a fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) and certified in Strategic Workforce Planning. Steve also has an overlapping 20 years of nonprofit leadership experience including service on six boards and 11 years as volunteer Executive Director of Our Response, doing humanitarian work in Rwanda. Two years ago, Steve launched out on his own to focus on business coaching, speaking, and community-building. He has founded two membership-based communities and podcasts: RecPoker for recreational poker players; and the Small Small Business Community focused on main street shops, solo-preneurs, and other small businesses and nonprofits. Steve has been married nearly 30 years, has three adult children, and has recently become addicted to disc golf.
