The WMarketplace plays a significant role in supporting women-owned small business while closing the gender gap and empowering women. If we can drive the vast consumer power of women, who make 85% of consumer decision in the United States, to support women-owned businesses, we can change consumer culture. Bringing her experience in running BeBold, a non-profit voice for International Women’s Day and the bold voices of women, Kate will highlight how individuals taking bold steps can create a wave of positive change. Kate and Susan will also share their bold experience in starting TheWMarketplace, a place for women-owned businesses and professional service providers to grow and thrive.

Kate and Susan met 20 years ago at a tech startup. Although that startup didn’t last, their friendship and passion for gender equity did. TheWMarketplace is a result of their vision that women need to achieve parity in economic power in order to have parity in all aspects of their lives.
