QuickBooks for Small Business and Self Employed Professionals

 

Do you need to make your bookkeeping smoother and faster? QuickBooks Accounting is one of the most popular accounting programs used by small business and self-employed professionals. This introductory course will enable participants to become productive and efficient in using QuickBooks software to manage a company’s transactions and finances.

Participants will quickly gain skills in setting up a new company and chart of accounts; recording transactions with customers, vendors and employees; managing lists; running reports and customizing them; changing forms and generating letters. **This class utilizes the desktop version of Quickbooks

Upon completion of this course, you should be able to:

  • Start QuickBooks Pro Accounting
  • Identify parts of the screen
  • Set up QuickBooks
  • Work with lists
  • Enter sales and invoices
  • Customize forms
  • Enter payments, deposits, paying bills
  • Work with bank accounts
  • Analyze financial data
  • Track and pay sales tax
  • Create payroll

Audience: This course is ideal for anyone using QuickBooks but especially those professionals who own or keep books for a small business or are self-employed.

Prerequisites: Familiarity with the computer and basic accounting principles

Duration: 3 short sessions from 3pm – 7pm to accommodate business participants

Grant Available: This course is being funded through a grant brought to you by the Small Business Administration Office of Women’s Business Ownership OWBO COVID 19 CARES Act grant awarded to the Washington Center for Women in Business.
