Thurston EDC: It’s been a rough year for many of us. Have you noticed any silver linings?
Josh Dunn: So much so, that I have been documenting all the blessings and silver linings. From workflow and partnerships, loyalty has been a huge silver lining both internally and externally. We have even grown in some verticals. At the same time, we are hopeful to elevate our friends in the hospitality, event/experience and arts/entertainment fields.
Thurston EDC: Are there any common misconceptions about Premier Media or South Sound Business Magazine you’d like to dispel?
Josh Dunn: That print is DEAD! Print is not dead. In fact, it is more vital than ever. We are not a “newsy” organization but a breath of fresh air that has loyal paid followers who want and expect our products. At the same time, we deliver great content in social, digital, live and print media. We are not dead but more alive than ever!
Thurston EDC: Why does Premier Media invest in the Thurston EDC?
Josh Dunn: We believe in our public/private/non-profit partnerships. It is vital for the success of our communities to invest in organizations that provide resources to offer a hand up, not a hand-out!
