Who is this workshop for?
The Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) provides seed money to small businesses who
are developing new technologies that might be of interest to federal agencies. This training is for small
businesses, resource partners or economic development organizations who would like to know more
about the USDA SBIR program .
What to expect:
Brief overview of the SBIR program – presented by WA PTAC
General overview of the SBIR/STTR program. Learn about the funding, who is eligible, and what
Washington State resources are available to help with the application process.
Deeper Dive into the Department of Agriculture (USDA) SBIR Program – presented by Melinda
Coffman, Program Coordinator Manager, SBIR Program
A look at the USDA SBIR program as well as a review of the Funding Announcement released July 7,
2023.
